that said, it would be possible to get a fairly high rank with a low correct win ratio, if for some reason you were consistently matched against players significantly better than you; you gain/lose more or less points depending on the comparative rank of your opponent. eg if you win vs someone 1k points above you you may gain a hundred or more points; if you win vs someone 1k points below you, you may not gain any points at all.

my understanding of the 1vs1 rating was:
- you win a game, get some points added to the rank,
- you loose a game, some points get subtracted from your rank

Therefore you should win more than loose to climb up the ranking :roll:

I had now a look on the leaderboard and saw for example, that a player has a win/loss ratio of 29% but a rank over 2000.

How does this work? Does this not mean he is loosing 2 from 3 games and still has such a high rank?

Or is it just broken and competely wrong.

Last option, I am just too stupid. Always possible.
