It's conceptually quite simple, but difficult in practice. The idea is to always have your auroras in range to fire on the enemy's tanks, but out of range of the enemy tank's weapons. This is called "kiting" because of its similarity to dancing a kite at the edge of its string.

In practice, that means that you will need to anticipate the movement of the enemy's tanks so that your auroras will already be moving in the proper direction to either keep up and in range of them if they're running away, or staying out of range if they're coming towards you.

If they get in range, all is not lost - you can very effectively dodge tank fire by strafing your auroras side to side.

It just takes a lot of focus to be able to micro your auroras in addition to everything else the game entails. However, if you can do so, you will have an incredibly large advantage that is extremely difficult to overcome.

aurora are fragile, quite slow, with a big turning radius, but their range compensates a lot. thats about it.

aurora micro is realy hard. But yes thats all for aeon.

I keep hearing debates on that out of all the factions, the Aeon is the most micro intensive. I know that you're suppose to keep kiting with auroras to utilize their range but there seems to be more to it than that. What else is there that I'm missing?
