You can use ui party to quickly iterate through units, giving them a different move order somewhere on the map. Then select all your bombers again and give same targets/split attack

no, different group with different pathway is the way to go.

When ordering a group of bombers to attack a target they tend to bunch close together or form a line and can get easily destroyed by AOE AA, or even kill each other when bombs hit a shield. To get around this I've tried assigning groups and giving each group a separate movement path before hitting the target but this is significantly time consuming. Are there hotkeys or orders that will tell bombers to spread out before hitting the target?
