theeggroll wrote:So lets say im in a game, and early game I havent paid the best attention to my scouting to notice that my opponent's acu is upgrading (Not uncommon to not watch your scout 100%, especially while you are getting things set up early game) and right as you finish setting up your t1 spam build you lose a solid portion of your map control due to t2 pd being set up in good spots and then enough get made fast enough that you cant counter with t1 push and/or gun. I do know how to raid, but overall the loss of map control can easily leave you at a disadvantage for the rest of the game. The map I'm specifically thinking of is Pyramid in middle spot where you lose 3-4 mexes as well as a SHIT ton of reclaim, even though he is static and investing mass into t2 pd, that amount of map control and reclaim he gets makes it very difficult to counter. Yes, you can get viper spam up, but you still lose enough of your map control that you're fucked either way, especially since you've just invested most of your resources into setting up t1 spam. No dumb answers please and thank you.

about Pyramid, that's exactly what happen to me in last game on Pyramid :D you just put line of T2 PD, get a beer and watch how PDs kill everything, you can build as many Vipers as you want, but especially UEF com can spam T2 shield so fast, that you need whole army of vipers and if you are not on T2 land yet you can call gg

fire base is ok, but PD creep just ruin fan of game

sometime it seem that UEF players know only one strategi PD creep

Not all UEF players do t2 PDs. I hate that, but it happens often on rohans. Leads to stalemates that are hard to resolve - only Scathis, nukes, Ahwassa or czar can break it. On open maps, like Open Palms or New Zeta Wonder such stalemate is impossible to achieve. There one can encircle, strike at flanks, take central positions and, basically, perform all possible military maneuvers.

If he goes gun and builds t2 pd with an engie then you should have a t2 engie by then as well, so just mirror him.

If you don't scout then there's no hope for you. "My opponent built a nuke and I didn't scout it until it launched, what do I do?" Well, you die.

Also, ketchup is gross.

That's why i drink water :D

Sucks to be you, because water is as expensive as coke, and no refills either ;-)

Perhaps instant MML rush can work yes, but I have a feeling that by the time you kill his PDs the reclaim is gone :(

The fries are almost less than a penny to produce too. Just wait until you get charged €2.50 for a refill on your 200ml coke ;-)

Same reason razor head and print cartridges cost a ton: consumables make $ as it's always used

you need to start countering it before he gets PDs, scout it, you see he's coming for PDs, so you can get your first MML before he builds first PD. If you start doing something when PDs are shooting at you, thats usually too late.

In the event of a t2 acu rush and you dont have a t2 land hq the pd is going to be built long before you even have t2 hq.

Pyramid is the ultimate PD creep map (along with Syrtis 5v5). You can't counter it without your own T2 PDs. At best you can make 1-2 PDs to stop his creep from going forward, and then instead of doing a full on creep, make MMLs.

Thats what i did but the map control loss is pretty brutal since you end up with like 5 mexes that are safe to upgrade while your opponent has 8 or 9. Sadly there isnt much of a good spot to back up to on pyramid.

But Ive noticed strategies like this often work well against myself, any other good ideas for what to do?
