This has probably been brought up before, and since I'm not exactly proposing a balance change, I'd just like to know your thoughts on this: is Aeon t2 shield unable to directly upgrade to t3 variant adding to the Aeon gameplay, or merely a nostalgia left-over from the old days? Is it a balance issue, or more likely the case of "always been like that, nobody complained about it" sort of thing?

I'm mainly asking this because it's amusing to watch AI unable to reclaim own shield domes and replace them with better variants, it's probably the best reason not to bring Aeon AI to any teamplay game because their core base will be full of holes as soon as you drop bombs or artillery fire there. I'm not exactly in place to discuss the importance of this little quirk in ladder games, so I'll just ask it here.
