This is a good idea. Maybe Daring Pursuit would be less insane if players started just outside of the inner region instead.

For a 1v1 map, something like dry canyon if you started at the hydro, and mexes at your start position. Maybe it would need to be opened up a little because the map might shut down once there is an ACU on each side.

And even in the case there is not much to expand behind on daring pursuit, you can always remove a bit the moutains at the border of the map to add more space/mexes.

(taking this map as an example since it's the only one which is a map where you expand by behind... =( )

A bit like daring pursuit if you don't see what I mean, but without being close to the ennemy base by 1cm(and not too far though, otherwise it's not the idea of "expanding by behind" anymore). I think this new kind of map have a huge potential but no map is like that(only one daring pursuit, but it has a big issue that we are way too close to the ennemy base..)

Just a suggestion though. : p

An other kind of map could be a teamgame map where there is no mex but only lot of reclaim (but no ML or huge stuff like that), and people will have to count on reclaim.. Or it could be a map with very few mexes (2/3) but lot of reclaim.
