- Fixed a number of pixel wide gaps in the center mountain range that allowed you to walk up and partway over the range.

If i'm to be known for any one thing in the FAF community, it would be that I am an infallable bastion of mental aptitude.
And as thus in my infinite wisdom, did I get to the end of creating one half of a map only to find that it could not be mirrored properly in the "theta" style of symmetry, because that would require the decals to be flipped horizontally.

In any case, I powered through and made the entirety of the map Sun Dragon Temple, which I present to you as my Mapping Tournament 5 Submission today. It's still balanced and tested for the usual in spite of the above.

For 2v2, and should be just fine for 1v1 as well.
All of the textures are custom, 2 of the 9 layers are completely new textures from 3dtextures.me, and the rest are modified from the base game.

This will be my last map for a while.
To be honest, I was already burnt out of mapping after Rusting Iron Roundel. I only made this because I am an egotistical bastard and wanted to "defend my title."

As I will forever continue to state: mappers on FAF toil for naught save the dirt, and as such being an egotistical bastard is a requirement. This means if you want to see more maps come of me, or any of the other contestants or whoever, make sure to let them know.
Leave your feedback here too. (no theorycrafting please.)

I released a 5km map to the vault today, it's a lava themed map I threw together in a couple afternoons.
The name of the map is Rusting Iron Roundel
It's made for both 1v1 and 2v2.

The next map will probably be my tournament submission.
I will probably schedule an advertisement for this and Sweepwing Sanctum when I have the time.

EDIT: :yeah: trimmed a rock that reclaims for way more mass than it's size would convey. which drops the total mass down from 12k to like 8.8k.

The map request is now dubbed "Sweepwing Sanctum" and is on the vault.
It's a small 10km. I added in a second player spawn for the purpose of TMM, but this map is made for 1v1.
I attempted to follow Archsimkat's choices on reclaim as much as I could. Props are always going to be the limit on what mappers can do though.

I had a lot of fun trying to tackle constraints and whatever, so please send me something new sometime soon.
That's it from me today,let me know what you think of the changes.

One more thing:

The Crucible is now at version 3.

- Corrected the lighting
- Tweaked custom sand texture in order to hide repeating patterns
- Tweaked snow map to further reduce pixelation
- Minor water tweaks

Sweepwing Sanctum is now at version 2. After a playtest.

- Hid a terrain feature.
- Trimmed and moved some midmass.

- Added spawns for 2v2 and 3v3 setups.
So you can actually play the map as intended, moved some mexes close to the spawns to act as core mass.
- Chafed the top of the mountains and one particular shot blocking mountain that stuck too high in the air.
Turin will be happy, at least.
- Most decals appear at higher zoom.
- Water and lighting tweaks.
- Blurred some offending erosion mishaps under the water.
- Changed some textures, and scaled them correctly.

- The middle highway is now made impassable by a ravine.
You can shoot over it, or even edgebuild. But you can't go from one base to another.
- Added high value reclaim to certain areas throught the middle areas on the map.
In the hopes of spicing the early game a little. See the images.
- Added some mexes near the middle
Which were once removed to try and stop mid pushing, which is now no longer a problem.
- Minor water tweak
