I think this is one of those things where everyone agrees it'd be a sort of nice thing to have, but everyone has more important things to invest their limited coding time into.

Patches welcome. :P

Let's also do all of FAF's calculations manually and play by snail mailing each other the positions of our units.

Cant see any drawbacks this will cause.
On the other hand the benefits are quite nice. Ofc you can manually select what faction you wanna play but given the chance many players will use this function. Im sure there are a lot of people who have main faction they play and are good with another. And for experienced players its also a great way to dilute their ladder experience without touching the map pool.

Hardy har Sheppard, I think what MM means is akin to the "Random, Not UEF" that exists currently. Essentially, the player chooses any combination of the four factions, and random will choose between those selected. Currently random is a bane for players that want to play any faction, but not ___.

Cybran = 1
Aeon = 2
Seraphim = 3

roll a dice with 3 sides and choose what faction you will play next game, and not use FAF's random button

edit, that site does not allow for custom amount of sides on dice... so..
Cybran = 1 and 4
Aeon = 2 and 5
Seraphim = 3 and 6

Any reasons if this is a bad thing to have and should not be implemented?
