This assumes that the rating information is accurate. It's not. For the forseeable future, it never will be. It's not even close. In fact, it's laughably far out.

Suggestions to hide rating from players cannot work with the system we have, and we're a long way from what I would deem an acceptable state where they could.

How would this work?

It's a strong possibility that there exist players of very different ranks with very similar stats stats. If you hide ranking, you could put a 500 and a 1500 in a lobby together and have them be basically indistinguishable, assuming they have played a similar number of games.

As a general rule, the more games you play, the better you are, sure, but there are very many exceptions to that rule. If we hide rank we risk putting people with the same win ratio against each other, when players with similar win ratios can have drastically different ranks.

I want the extra stats, I don't think we should make rank invisible or use it any less than we already do.
(perhaps we can use the stats to improve rank, but again, they should not replace it)

It would be really cool to be able to view people win/lose/draw stats

To be able to see who really is top of the ladder.

Also as a semi-amateur caster I would like to be able to provide a little more info in my vids on who a player is and how good they are.

Also it would stimulate the community when there was match that might change the top of the table or cause one clan to be knocked of the top spot for example.

I am sure the player stats must be stored somewhere and it would just need some work to get them in a readable fashion.

Would also be interest, while loading a lobby with someone who has x global rating, to be able to see their ladder ranking without having to tab out and go look them up.

I agree it's probably not super high priority, but I, at least, would use it, if only just for giggles.

However I still think it's a good idea and thought maybe with the change of leadership it was time to re-open the discussion?

Essentially why doesnt this game have player stats? So you can see how many games a player has played/won/lost drawn.

No. of air kills, land kills, ACU kills etc

League tables of players 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 etc.

I dont see why it would make the game unfair or stop people from playing each other, as every other online multiplayer game has this functionality and it only increases competition?
