Perhaps I am wrong, but I feel like your post can be summarised simply to the sentence above. If so, then I would say to you that perhaps you are underestimating the capabilities of the balance team. Every time I've come across a balance discussion in the chat lobby, people have always reminded others to keep in mind all of a faction's capabilities, instead of wrongly comparing two units directly. I doubt those balancing this make too many rash decisions with a game we all love.
If however, this post was created mostly for the benefit of other more.. 'close-minded' people, then I agree with you, and well done for explaining your case.
Yeah, I wasn't trying to imply that many or even most people don't already agree with this sentiment, but rather to try to make the point as clearly as possible so that we could have pretty much everyone agree to it, and if someone doesn't, it would be a post that you could just link to rather than needing to make the point again and again.
