This can be a simple basic concept but it's not possible because presumably the units could not fire while being transported. Many people tried it but could not success. I personally consider two kind of air transports more balanced.

edit: But back on topic, low flying transport makes sense. Didn't the Russians build some kind of crazy plane that was to big to fly properly and was supposed to be used exactly for this over the oceans?

Ya know how when we stormed the beaches during WW2 we had a sort of naval transport for land units? What if in FAF we implemented some sort of naval unit transport to shuttle land units? This opens the door to playing like Cybran on a map like SG where the map heavily favors factions like Aeon or Phim with more floating units. It does not, however, completely kill factional diversity in that regard because presumably the units could not fire while being transported.
