Based on my limited coding experience, I think this is perfectly possible but it will have an impact on the client performance (and possibly server performance). It means that every line that is typed in #aeolus needs to be scanned for words matching the unit database. Whenever a user clicks that word, the data of that unit is downloaded from the server and displayed for example in a popup window. 700 users in the chat at peak moments means a lot of words to be scanned and a lot of downloading....

I like the idea however.

I saw this in the game called "Airmech". Not bad game. Also the game "Warframe" will implement this too. Not bad game either.

Hi!

when someone types words in #aelous like: Mantis, engy mod, GW, Monkeylord, Assassination, OC, XYZ Tournament, etc

it appears as clickable link and opens a browser page of faf unit list/wiki or a window in faf lobby and displays information.
