It could be implemented as a cluster of attack ground commands which are targeted in random order. It could even be done as a UI Mod :!:

And if you give a bomber a command to attack a piece of land, it will bomb that piece of land when it's good and ready, and not a moment sooner.

Could you set it to do something like this?

If off cooldown{
send stop order
switch mode to ground fire
send attack target ground order
resume move order
}

I think I have found out how to make your bomber useful in giving them the possibility to have an attack order on multiple target like now but if your target didn't died he goes further to the next target without extra order :-)


I will implement it in the next release of the fa unleashed

On a more serious tone, this is a nice idea, it would require ,though, such micro, that only players with a true rating >1500-1600
would be able to pull off rendering such a capability useless for the majority of players.I am positive, anyway, if it can be programmed.
Speaking about air, I would like the function of transports to be corrected, as they can only be effective, if they meet no resistance.
How on earth could I use them offensively if they slow down over mountain tops, thus betraying their position and cancelling any element of surprise. They tend to spend an eternity, too, when they drop their units at the destination point, again cancelling any surprise and becoming free mass for the opponent.Not to speak of the loading time....

This should be easy to implement, and open up a wide array of options not available now.
One problem I get with bombers is in attacking large armies. The bombers pick a 'random' target and try to engage it, and if they fail they throw nothing at all. However, if they had dropped a bomb it would probably have hit 2-3 enemy units.

Ideally, bombers should be able to do carpet bombing, take targets of opportunity, etc... but this is hard to implement. The drop bomb command should give players the option to do all this with only minimal micro.
