If they're talking about Mumble, I'm guessing by "discord integration" that they're imagining something like tossing you in a group call with your teammates. In any case, simply having a discord server is not "integration".

There is. Some java client dev will surely show up soon to tell you how exectly it works

Hello!

Once, a long time I ago I suggested FAF would integrate/support Mumble.

To my great surprise you did! ... it didn't "take off", though.

With "the rise" of the app Discord, perhaps it's time to try again? Discord is easier for people to use, and the developers seems very skilled and responsive.

If you decide upon implementing it, the ability needs to be visible. E.g. the lobby should allow you to hot-start & join Discord if possible, also probably make it visible who's ready to use Discord, maybe?

Note: I haven't played much at all the last years. For all I know there is already a Discord integration of sorts =D
