Nice, although if I never see a dead player's ping in a non-tournament game again it will be too soon

Remember that game where I made 100 spearheads and SpeedyGonzalez kept pinging me to stop it? I refuse to ever believe the amazing might of 100 spearheads firing is the wrong way to play this game.

I experimented ingame with the chat mute - you can mute people's chat, but you can still see whatever they ping.

If it's possible, maybe the chat mute can also mute pings, or maybe another option to do that , so you can mute both, or just chat/pings.

Second option probably best, first might be easier.

**Also something to note is that sometimes it remembers who you muted so you might mute someone once and then never see anything from them again until you remember which is probably not great

I didn't ask to remove it, just the ability to disable it. Think of it like a mute button for voice chat.

The option to mute player pins individually would be nice. Hiding dead players pings automatically, wouldn't.

Let's not remove a feature just because there's an idiot once in a while who misuses it. Let's rather add protections against that idiot (mute on demand, maybe based on foe list?, ...)
Pinging as a dead player is one of the only interactions you can still have with your team past your elimination, and it serves a purpose as such - as you don't have to manage any economy or army and can oversee the game, giving indications.

It's possible to do via the chat options ingame iirc but I didn't check...

Unsure if it could be made automatic or an option

I am insanely tired of "backseat drivers" telling a team what to do after they suicided or something similar...
