I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement, but i just imagine a yes/no option that pops up for 15 seconds to unrank the game following a player being ejected from a disconnect. Or just add "eject and unrank" as a second option with no additional time.
It would make for a fairer rating system and probably lead to less wasted time as long as there is not much additional selection time added, which wouldn't even be necessary. Since you would require unanimous consent, this would only affect situations where there is no clear advantage for one side, and all players are reasonable...[so maybe not very often]...but it wouldn't hurt anyway. If you suspect someone just rage quit, then you vote no, and there is no downside compared to the status quo. It could help both in situations where two players on the same team lose connection to each other, and their opponents decide to not be terrible, or when they are on opposite teams.
