Like the title says, is there a way to remove return fire state from the game?

There really isn't any real reason for having it around. All it does is add some laggy and unnecessary micro for switching units between ground fire and hold fire.

There's mentions of setting default state of units into ground fire on the forum and I already have a mod that does that but that's not what I am suggesting here. What I want to suggest is the complete removal of the 'return fire'-state of units. This way hold fire micro becomes easier and less affected by the horrible delay 'cycle fire states'-hotkey has.

Rename the normal attack move to ground fire while at it, to make it easier for new players.

BTW. If someone knows how to fix the delay, that'd be nice too. It's fricking annoying.

you can try UI party mod, where fire mod is automaticly switched to ground fire
