Let's keep it clean please, no ad hominem etc.

I am not talking about getting steamrolled or allowing people in who you know will lag like crazy, etc. I completely agree those situations suck and there are ways to remedy them besides "just playing." There is definitely a line between "okay, this balance isn't perfect, and/or I didn't to get play with my friend this time around," and, "This is a complete and utter stack and isn't going to be fun for anyone."

I'm saying the former situation could happen more often if people were a little more easy going. It is a judgement call, and maybe you've had different experiences than I had (I almost never play Seton's, so I'm betting that's the case), but in my experience, most of the time the host is doing the best they can and people just need to chill out.

And when you really play to play and stop worrying so much about points, you find ways to enjoy getting steamrolled, like trying cheese because it doesn't matter anyways and then somehow winning because of it.

Mycen sounds like you're talking about mostly setons, there are other maps in faf you know. I find getting a game going takes 30 minutes maximum, most of the time taking 5-15 minutes.

ahahahahahahahaha! You are a funny one my friend.

Because clearly you are joking if you expect me to believe that it takes 30min maximum to get a game going on maps outside the popular set. I've been doing setons relatively frequently lately because it is often impossible to get a game going at all on maps like crossfire canal, The Great Void, Hanna Oasis, Thawing Glacier, etc., let alone get it to fill. People just don't join them.

I would love to know what "other maps" you are playing that take an average of 5-15 minutes to fill.

Games vs clans with high GQ are usually imba anyway, since friends tend to use real game play. Bunch of random people, often without skype/mumble often are no comparison.

When you (not you you, people in general) join a game in which others have been waiting for 20 minutes and everybody has to be switched around because you can't imagine playing against your friend, you're being annoying to everyone else who also has been waiting a long time.

If your thing is playing with your friend on skype, host your own games, join all at the same time, and set the rules you like, that seems easy enough.

Seton's games where front players don't reclaim front are "noob games" or "all welcome", and while it is indeed infuriating, seeing people insult each other in chat does not make the experience nicer for anyone.

I"more annoyed by people who say everybody HAS to wait for friend and insist on me changing spots because someone HAS to play with his buddy than by noobs being noobs.

IF everybody was as flippant as those who NEED to play with their friends or can't play a 100 % balance games, games would just never start.

Can't press the like button enough. SOO many people forget that at the end of the day your goal should be to have fun. Its a game! They are meant for having fun! (Not saying "its just a game") everyone seems to forget this and would rather complain or ruin other peoples fun for stupid reasons

It sounds great for you guys to say these things, but let's be serious for a second, yeah?

People are picky about things because they want to have a fun game. There's nothing fun about getting steamrolled by someone with 2k games in a specific position (Setons air, I'm looking at you) because even though you can't possibly compete with them the host insists you play across from them because you both have the same rating. There is nothing fun about getting on skype with your friends and then not being able to play together because it takes 1+ hours for games to start and the only game that fills has people who won't play unless you go on opposite teams. There's nothing fun about waiting an hour for your game you can't possibly win to finish because it's running at -6. Go play a no share game on setons where your front player does not even attempt to get any center mass and your air player has to drop at minute twenty because they're running the game on a PC from 2005. I'll take what you're saying seriously when you can come back and tell me about how much fun that was.

If you expect people to happily and without complaint play unbalanced games against their friends with laggers and dropping connections then you are the one who is being "stupid". SupCom isn't some FPS you can just hop into - unless you're doing ladder or there are 500+ users on, just starting each game is a significant time investment. It is only fair to expect people to try and make that investment worthwhile.

That is why I would like to request a "Rejoin" button. After clicking on the button and following the "Are you sure?" prompt, you will be ejected from the game and immediately rejoin. As you leave, your spot will be locked until you return.
