I'm one of the many that rarely hosts, but whenever I see a map hosted that I don't know, I join that game. (So even sometimes a Voodoo map.)
I fully agree that new maps keep the game interesting. I actually think that even the Gap-players like some diversity, since Dual Gap is played a lot at the moment.

I would say that we need another way to promote new maps. Maybe the What's New should be replaced by a blog, with a subsection for presentation of new maps.

I dont wanna play voodoo castle v17 c to rate it as a bad map

I don't really care. Good maps getting troll downvotes is more important than some bad maps not getting a bad enough rating. Discouraging new mappers would be my main concern.

I was asking for special privilege

b) Make ratings visible (who rated and what, to point out the trolls and OC them)

There seems to be few guys who just keep downvoting every map, without even downloading it. Egon posted a screenshot in his mapmaping topic where his map was rated 1 start whit 0 downloads.

New maps are definitely the spice of this game, and it isn't really encouraging to go on with further mapping projects (especially, when it comes to someone with first map ever) if every map you upload get instantly voted with lowest possible rating.
