You dont need to see those spikes in lobby since there are almost no data flying around

If their ping is spiking from alt-tabbing and watching YouTube or are pirating something, that's a sign that their connection isn't that great and risks the quality of game. Some people seem to not be fully joking when they tell others to stop DLing porn...

That's cause ping isn't visible. If you can see ping spiking or abnormally high for their location, that's a huge hint.

People already tolerate people who have trouble connecting to others... that seems strange to me as someone that wants a lag free game. If they're tolerated, they won't see it's a problem and won't try and fix/improve it.

Obviously the people you're talking about suffer as well from their bad connections and dont "fix it" because they dont know how or just plain can't do anything about it.

It happens to me sometimes that my ISP fucks up and I randomly have bad connection for a while. I can't know in advance it'll happen in the middle of a game, and people getting on their high horses about it doesn't change a thing.

Might as well always make the network stats window show when the eject window is open. If there were a mod that pointed out the laggers for sure, that would be a great help too, as I'm frustrated by people playing the blame game and laggers denying it, ruining the experience even more.

I'm more interested in preventing the problem of getting lag immediately after the game starts... if the laggers can be identified in the lobby, that would save the majority from a lot of grief and frustration.

Also, there's no way to tell if someone is 500+ to another person. In a 4v4, there's 28 different unique connections, and each player only sees 7 pings, the pings from each other player to them. It could be an Aussie that has a 600ms ping to another Aussie due to being on the proxy. Both of those Aussies could be 300ms to you, but you will suffer from the slowdown.

Package loss is the important figure, that causes netlag.

Also, can you do something about "normal" pings being color coded yellow in actual games? Being called a lagger merely for living far away, such as west coast US to Europe getting a 200-250 ping, is rude. People should think that's normal, but when it's lagging and they see a yellow colored ping, they start pointing fingers.
