This is why engi mod was introduced. If this is implemented should the mod be removed?

ofcourse NOT! Engymod promotes adjacency bonus -the unique feature of FA.

There is no skill required, even beginning players can micro the engineers to prevent collisions (who didn't play with cars as a kid?).
You can have this, as said pointless, micro in the game, or you can't. Not having it lets players spend their micro on other things with a much greater skill component.

If its so easy then whats there to complain about?

It's annoying, cumbersome and generally not fun. On top of that there is nothing skillful about putting your engies in the right spot. It's merely stupid unit behavior that you have to work around. It's just another thing that has nothing to do with strategy, but with fighting the game itself. It's just a bad thing.

BUT there are way more important and not so easy to work around situations: Your ACU getting blocked in your base because there are engies all over the place. And that you can't really help.

AFAIK, every time you give a new order it starts the pathfinding calculation again: so panicked clicking will probably lead to your unit sitting there forever.

This is not true for move orders.

yes, however sometimes if a unit is stuck the move order just cancels itself. Happens often to ACU. (or battleships )
