It's the counterpart of apm invest, isn't it ? Why do you want to break this ?

Because moving Units=Fun

Clicking tree groups=Boring

Messing up left and right click=Aggravating

Many morern strategies have user-friendly UI that allows you to give area commands however we arent moving in that direction, are we?...cough....auto-OC...cough...hoverbomb remove...cough...apm invest...

Other question is why tree reclaim so important that you carry so much about it? Why does tree group give you different value of resources compare to same group of separated trees? Any reason to do so exept awesome pgen-less BOs?

I know. It doesn't fix the problem though:

Engies break tree groups at random if you do not give them move commands in between manual reclaims. It's a pain in the ass.

I would also like to find a UI mod solution.

Another thought: It should work reading the eta. Dunno how accurate that is but if you read it correctly, you should be able to determine exactly when your engie arrives, then pause/unpause him to stop him from moving and start the reclaim order.

Would it be feasable to detect if the build range of an engie is within range of its order, then micro pause/unpause it to start building sooner then it would do by hardcode?

The goal is to remove the necessity to give move commands when reclaiming trees, avoiding the dwarf fortress-esque interface (who had the glorious idea to switch mouse buttons on select order?).

They should be a way but it seems more a trick. You can issue commands orders list from a mod. Maybe you can edit the build order list. If yes, you need to analyze it and insert micro pauses in the build list. If you can't edit the build list, you need to hack on the fly all orders in command mode. Then add a 'optimize' function' that will clear current orders and add your own orders tree. You need to take care a lot of things (land map type...).

It seems to be a lot of work and if you enter the area of building order you can make full assist reclaim. You can calculate the best way to reclaim in an area and create an optimized order list.

There is already a mod on auto reclaim (area reclaim).

You can try to cut it from earlier versions of "balancepreview" mod.
