i am having the same issues, i can't even upgrade my com its like the ui was shifted down off screen
is there anyone who can reply as to whether a fix is being worked on ?

To get this back on track, someone actually needs to dig through and fix the compatability issues with the current FAF patch, and perhaps scale down the ACU vet just a tad. When I played it last, if one person got all upgrades on com and killed enough units to get 10 vet ahead of the other com (which is really easy to do) you could basically just walk up and murder the other guy's face off and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. You move faster, have more range, more DPS, and FAR more health and regen than they do. Additionally, if you have a sera or UEF com, a single tac missile does like 15k-25k damage at the mid point of the game, so it is possible to score a one hit kill out of the blue with that.

It is a HILARIOUSLY fun mod to play, and I love it! That said, the newest version is completely broken, and it needs a little rebalance.

And yeah, watching a Commander blap everything while flying through the air is the best thing ever, just wish the Commanders wouldn't target air units. And I wish the Mass SCU teleport function worked properly. In singleplayer you can easily get to the point where the ACU is regenerating over 1,000 hp a second.

yes the commander is over powered. this is ok.
yes the commander ranks up by building something and/or fighting.
yes the commander ranks up by upgrading itself. because it builds an upgrade for itself.

but the commander ranks also up, when you upgrade the same upgrade the second (and the 25.) time. that is the problem.

But yeah, it's not necessarily a bug, the ACU upgrades when it does stuff (on single player and campaign, and it is OP) but if you do battles like that against a normal opponent, maybe they'll have a similar strength ACU? I and a friend loved to do that (a long time ago), by fighting against 4 or so AI, then right before we finish the last one off, betray our alliance and fight eachother with our super ACUs.

It's much less in multiplayer, you get XP when you finish building, and when you kill stuff. It's still pretty cool, but not really as epic in those one or two great matches that you get with the one friend. It adds variety, certainly, but when you want a normal, balanced match, just do a normal multiplayer battle (test if you can find anyone? This comp doesn't run FA :cry: ) and it'll play normally with its great veterancy system.
