To be honest, though, I did a few searches regarding this subject, both on Google and in these forums, but what I got was mostly sound problems related, or something that ends up with a link to that wiki entry, so I kinda gave up.

Anyway, thanks mate.

I guess it's pretty obvious what I'm trying to accomplish here from the title of this topic. I've decided to modify sounds of a few vanilla weapons (because screw that weak-ass pew-pew-pew of Hell's Fury Riot Gun), but I've run into a stumbling block when I realized I don't really know how to remake cues in XACT, or how to name any of the .wavs/sounds/.cues. The .xwb extractor I use names all the the extracted files 00000000.wav, 00000001.wav, etc., but I guess these aren't the original names. There are some right-sounding names among the gibberish in .xsb file, but I'm not sure if I could use that.

Anyway, short story short, I've extracted .wav files from a .xwb and am now unable to compile them back into a working sound-bank. I've looked at the tutorials (both FAFwiki's Mission_Scripting#Audio part and at Microsoft.com on using XACT), and while that helped a lot, I still haven't managed to tackle this problem.

Anyone worked on something similar and could share some tips regarding the matter?
