I have just uploaded my UI mod to the vault - just search for "Supreme Score Board" (make sure you press the Server Search button)

Here is thread with detailed information and screenshots for my mod.

Let me know what do you think?

Yes, this is fully working UI mod and I reserved space to put reclaim in score panel. It's funny because putting reclaim is score panel was the main reason why I started working on my mod and I should be able to release it this weekend!!! However, reclaim values are not saved in score data as far I know. So UI mods do not have access to reclaim values :( One could convert this UI mod to Sim mod to gain access to reclaim values but then you would not be able to use it with game replays. Ideally, the game should save reclaim values in score data and then UI mods could access it.

I will contact Sheeo, once my mod is released and share a few other ideas for improving score panel. First, I would like to get a feedback from FAF users about my mod.

Not quite understanding everything in there but I get the gist. What are the navy/land/air buttons for on top right? Is the figure below them the score?

The navy/land/air buttons in top right are filters that allow including or excluding unit count in the last column. This way observer can quickly compare players and see who has the most number of air/land/navy units. I noticed that casters (e.g. Gyle, Brink) check for this kind of info by switching to each player view. So I thought that I could add it to my mod and make their work a bit easier. :D However, score data does not distinguishes between T1, T2, and T3 air units nor tech level in other unit categories. As result, the unit count is cumulative for air/land/navy units. Perhaps, this can be change in game or extracted from game data in some other way.

Also who are you and where have you appeared from out of nowhere with these obviously experienced modding skills?

Haha, I have been playing SupCom/FA since day one but mostly vs. AI and on campaign maps. I learned about FAF about 2 years ago and I'm average joe with quickly claiming the ladder or at least I think I'm doing that. Definitely, my #1 game of all time (beats StarCraft hands down) I have 10+ years of experience in programming (c#, xaml) and graphics (PS). So I'm used to working on big projects but I must admit LUA is an "interesting" programming language to learn. My UI mod will be the first attempt to thank FAF community in a small way for fun it gave me so far. :D

I would be very interested in seeing mass-on-field divided by domain (land/navy/air/structure/engies) and tech (1/2/3/x). Then you could see how much mass team 2 has worth of tech 2 tanks. That's an interesting thing to know. Would have to be fairly interactive.

That would be great but again the current structure of score data does not keep track of stats per tech level. With a few game changes (mostly in aibrain.lua) we could track of this kind of stats. :geek:

How far did you get with implementing your mod?

I am going to make a mod that shows ingame stats whilst watching a replay. Casters should like it. Feature goals include:

- showing actual mass income and reclaim income separately

- showing count of units on field divided by type (so counts for asf, t2 land, t3 land, t2 mexes) including mass value and perhaps different counts for total and just onscreen

- replacing the score panel. dividing players by team

- for each thing (mass/unit counts/score/etc) showing player value and team value

- ambitious but a graph of mass income would be nice

What other ideas are you interested in seeing?
Anyone want to help me make it?

Do you mean something like attached screenshot of my upcoming UI mod?

My mod has the following features:
- team stats
- allows sorting players by all visible columns
- allows changing indicators in all columns
- allows filters of units types (last column)
- shows kills-to-built units ratio (green icon in first column)
- shows kills-to-lost units ratio (red icon in first column)
- shows total mass/energy
- shows # players alive/max in team lines
- shows map size
- shows cumulative unit stats in observer view (unit counter in top-left)
- shows maps restrictions and other map info
- adds new icons with improved quality
- improves performance in updating score panel
- anything else would you like to add?

Btw, it might be difficult to get and show mass reclaim for each player if you are planning to work within UI mod limitations b/c reclaim is not collected and shared in aibrain.lua Unless, FAF developers include it in score data and release it in the next patch.

I meant most kills for a unit within a unit type, the idea is to identify the best performing units due to player micro
not fair comparing an illshova to a t1 interceptor
but I want to see a bomber that got 30 kill or illshie with 50
all these hero units are forgotten
the idea to put the kills of veterans into unit names is awesome

it also displays "important events" over the graph
any battle with X% mass on the field destroyed, show it there
and mousehover over it shows what was involved and losses on each side or so
then mass advantage graph will be cool once for total, and once for units, excluding buildings (count tml, nuke, arty etc. as buildings)
*as units, not buildings
you can display it ingame too
it would be nice to just use the same thing as ingame for after-game too

the stats I would love to see are veterancy and total kill counts per unit, so that we could see which units got the most kills t the end of the game
it would be nice to have a menu with stats at the end of the game
who have the most kills with acu, gunship, t1,t2,t3 land units, naval etc.
it would also be nice to show when that unit lived during the game

I'd have to agree. Some good ideas so far.

Already in game, not available on replay though.

I believe currently in game it will show reclaim income and total income. I personally think it would be nicer the way Anihilnine said it, where it was reclaim income and base income. Figuring out your base income I think is more important than seeing the two added together, plus that's what the big number next to the storage bar is for, to see the net difference.

show mass income / reclaim / team overflow
and for energy too
that for all players at once
else just all kinds of graph like hotstats, with a box where you can select which one you want to see

is it possible to just select units as observer? With double click 1 type of unit of 1 player

[quote]- ambitious but a graph of mass income would be nice [quote]
but in % to average mass income.
Cuz the graph after the game is useless - cant see the difference in the beginning of the game.
