Asking questions is surely the way to go.

The biggest single change that's probably going to break all your shit will be the UI stuff. The UI library has some luadocs in the tree at around /lua/ui/controls, as well as shiny toys to use to make UIs.

Sheeo said there isn't a comprehensive guide, basically you could just use the debug log to figure out the incompatibilities.
