Actually it wasn't possible to contact the sys admin ... but i managed to find some working parameters in the proxy !!

no i can't connect to steam or teamspeak or sc2 or any game. I can't download any torrent.
But i will try to find a solution on the frozenway forums.

There will be a Firewall/Proxy/Network Filter in place in order to stop people abusing the network (downloading torrents) slowing the network down for everyone else. (it will be one shared pipe) A proxy/VPN is designed to tunnel your traffic so that the firewall cant see what it is. Any network admin will know how to block this and should as people can run torrents over a VPN slowing the network for everyone.

Your proxy worked. The network admin saw that you were trying to get around the restrictions and blocked it. This may have even been an automated process.

Best thing to do is speak to the network admin. Let him know what the application is and what ports it will be using and ask if he can help.

Speak to the sysadmin, ask him why your proxy dont work anymore and why you cant play FA anymore. its like 1/100.000 Chance than he also played FA, and 1/10.000.000 that he know about FAF and plays here. Worth a try I think

I finally found a nerd neighboor who told me to buy the proxy frozenway.
Everything should work again in few minuts

The connection is kinda totaly blocked.
Even ping google.com dont recive any answer, as we just figured out.

Sorry, what I mean is get your own wireless broadband dongle and avoid the school network completely.

I'm guessing they would block the xbox ports as well. Talking to the sysadmin would be your best bet. Show him your tournament-avatars .

Actually i don't have any much more information either. I just received a paper with login and password, to be able to login when i connect my pc the the ethernet port of my flat.

I tried to use my VPN, but it didn't work.
I agree i think i have to offer a beer to the admin. But i have first to find who he is.

I'm guessing you would need some sort of VPN. Or a good talk with the sysadmin.
