Squads are part of Galactic War...and GW is down for maintance at the moment.
Thats perhaps the reason why your FAF crashed when you recived the invitation.

The strange thing is, how someone managed it to send the request or why else you got it

Squad Proposal

Hello guys/gals,

I'm new to FAF, and fairly new to FA in general. I just joined FAF and have only played a few games. After my last game I received a "Squad Proposal" where it said a team leader was requesting I join their squad. I didn't get a chance to say yes or no because there was some kind of error with FAF and I had to close and re-open it.

But I was just wondering how squads work, and what they are all about in case I ever get another squad request.
