Every day, I see new players complaining that they don't find others new players to play with/against.

While looking at the database statistics, they actually the majority of the FAF players.

The problem is that these players assumes that, as FA is old, all players are pros, and fear playing online.

I hope the coop feature will bring more of them to slowly integrate the online community.

But they is nothing wrong about playing against AIs. But don't do it because you think you won't find people your level :)

My only problem i think now is the fact i live in australia so Lag. My pc score is 200 something. But am keen to upgrade (tax writroff) i pay for cable ultimate with telstra suppost to be the best.

So ill try hard then cheat etc dont want to go on faf and upset the pros.

let's say all people above 2000 rating are pro, then we only have 0,7% pros on FAF, you dont learn much by playing against AI, most players on FAF are average or also new and (obviously) noobs (that nothing negative) dont fear to play here people are friendly and the rating system makes it easy to find people of your level

it's a misconception spread by some people that FAF would only be for pro's and maybe it was abit unlucky formulated by the first guy that answered

Setons Clutch is a map in SupCom that some people think is the best, personally i think it's one of the worst.

For a Crashcourse in SupCom MP gameplay go here: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=3058&p=30316#p30314

I'm quite baffled as to how you posted in the forums without even knowing about FAF...

Anyway, just go to the main page (http://www.faforever.com) and download FAF - you can't miss it, there's a huge green download button on the right side of the page. I believe you don't actually need your cd key to play through FAF, and it will automatically patch the game for you when you try to start a match.

As for steam, the community there is small and doesn't have very many good players, so I wouldn't recommend it. The best place to play online is on FAF.

I wouldn't bother with the campaign, it kinda sucks although zep's working on a multiplayer campaign (again, through FAF). You would be better off watching casts, replays and playing a few matches if you feel rusty. Asking a trainer to help you is also an idea, there should be a thread around where you can see who they are.

I really can't answer your CPU question but I'm sure someone else can. You don't need a great CPU though as long as you stay out of things like Setons.

Good luck.

Hey sorry,

I found after i posted, using my phone so did zoom out. Thanks

Also i played ai on medium :-)1- 1st game back and beat them pretty quick. So ill try hard then cheat etc dont want to go on faf and upset the pros.

What are setons? Im not up with the jargon and i couldnt understand the guy on youtube.

All updates on FAF are done automaticly, you only need the game (retail, last official patch, 3603betapatch or steam version), FAF will update it to an merged version (also it does this non-desruptive so no gamefiles are actually changed)

Would like to know if there is any updates or what version i would have to be to play online?

I see this game is now on steam. Do you guys play on there? What is the best place to play online? Also I havent played since 2010 so should i go through the campaign again.

I would like to know if intel i5 4670k i7 4770k or fx 8350 would be better for this game (amd all the way but intel seems to use half the power
