check your facts dude
http://faforever.com/faf/unitsDB/unit.p ... 05,XSB2401
so with 100 engys assisting you got your missle 25% faster (and having 100 engys at that point isnt really uncomon)

Oh you're right *derp*. Wrong building. It's SMDs that is inefficient for assisting, unless you need the antinuke RIGHT NOW. Wonder why I thought it was the launcher.

afaik the nuke launcher needs 10 mass and 100 energy for 1min to build a nuke (=600 mass, 6k energy in total), so this is VERY cheap compared to a normal nuke missile (over 10k mass), also it has more damage, a larger explosion and (as already said) you need two anti nukes to stop it

Thanks! This clears it up for me, guys!

In the majority of cases a game ender is only built to 1. break an unbreakable stalemate, or 2. on REALLY huge maps.

The sera t4 nuke (Yolona Oss or whatever) takes 2 anti nuke missiles per launch to stop, and builds many many MANY times faster than a normal nuke especially when assisted. You need upwards of 7-8 anti nukes with a head start on loading them to hold off a Yolona.

As to the other game enders, they each do their own thing in their own way.... Check out the unit database ( http://www.faforever.com/faf/unitsDB/ ) for all the info you need on pretty much anything. Also, the wiki is a very handy tool.

Thanks brink! Yeah, the other ones are pretty much self explanatory, it was really only the nuke launcher that confuses me, becuase, as far as I can tell, you can't really get info about the cost of the nukes themselves and how many smd it takes to stop them from the wiki. So it is worth assisting the experimental nuke launcher then? Are the nukes significantly cheaper, more powerful, and have more hp requiring 2 smd, then?

I was wondering how the experimental missle launcher works. It holds only 1 missle, right? How does it overwhelm SMD? Does it just build missles super fast? Do they require multiple SMD missles to shoot one down? How exactly does one go about ending the game after building one?

Also, I was wondering what people think about how the various game enders compare.

Finally, in terms of strategy to go for a game ender, presumably you just sit in the back, build a ton of shields and SAMS and maybe an experimental or two for defense and then build your game ender, right?
