Just dodging while moving, dont move forvards blindly, dodge when they are shooting. Send shields ahead so blazes catch up.

Who said you need a pd creep? some pd to retreat in key posotion is plenty enough. Also if he has so much hoplites that he can just go and kill t2 pd's with them, then its already something wrong.

as said, i feel like this will not often be an option since the com will already be damaged.
and you will have to get the upgrade somewhere near the front (who would have his com sitting in the base) and that means you have to run into the hoplite fire with units to stop them from killing your com.

If he goes t2 you can buy plenty of time with auroras to do any kinds of upgrades you need. If commander is damaged then use shields, or just go ahead and get vet.

it doesnt need to be t2 rush. maybe hell be a bit at a disadvantage for some time but it depends on the map if he will actually lose a significant amount of map control.

"A bit" on small maps is all usually nearly all map. On big maps you gain an advantage with t1, he can recover on t2, dont see anything wrong.

PD works very well actually, you build one where your army is

and the gunupgrade is also risky since the hoplites still have more range and in most cases my com ws already damaged from com fights in the beginning. and most of the time i neither have more than +100 free energy so overcharges will regen very slow.
i also used the shield in my last game but i couldnt use it for pushing since it was slower than the blazes.

when the rangebots are combined with a t2 pd it gets even worse.
they can kite back into the pd and always push again for a short time. they will also deny te possibility to kill the pd with mmls.
these are possibilities to survive against them mostly, but not really to counter them.
and i usally dont rely on air countering land since it takes micro and is really easy to counter (build ground AA for example)

especially when the numbers go higher the blazes get owned.
maybe you can win with blazes against rocketbots but you cant call that a counter. the blazes do catch up to the rocket bots but it taked them a lot of time in that the rocket bots tear them apart.
and shields cant be used efficiently with blazes since they cant catch up.
btw i think the same goes for seraphim but im not sure.
