the rest of the game you were sitting infront of his base and he barely had a chance imo.
in the blasted rock i am surprised where all of mozarts ressources went, since i rushed it.
i assume that his units just kept getting killed by auroras, but the auroras are supposed to be good against other t1 so i dont see this as a bad thing.
well then you won because you had more units. just like in the blasted rock.
thats my opinion on these games

so the desert arena game i simply lost because i got 60% less reclaim (Cybran MadMozart)
the other game i lost (my second aeon game since the patch) was also against Mozart playing Cybran i dont remeber the map right now i think it also was a 5x5 map, i lost because i didnt build air and had no radar coverage

in all games Mozart (who was a lot better than me normally recently) struggled pretty hard.. even though he maybe did not optimal, he tried gun, air and T2 while none of it worked, maybe we can analize that games..

They do not work very well for me :(

with a shield it is very equal. it depends on the map how far the ishies can kite, what the surrounding armies are, what the numbers on each side are etc.
in a straight on fiht i'd guess obsidians beating chickenbots when the chickenbots are focus firing but it is close.
if the chickenbots can kite they will propably win.
but chickenbots are an option against obsidians imo. they are not really a counter, but obsidians neither are a counter to chickenbots!
and since the chickenbots can also kill t1 i think it is easy to spam them (no shield obsi micro required) but that is just guessing

i play often sera vs aeon, always using bombers as suicideunits and they always drop their bomb when i pay attention, also on moving auroras, but i never played against a real pro so i dont know if good micro make them to not drop their bombs

Usually bombers shoot 3\10 times when you order them to atack auroras, simply because even a small movement causes them to refuse dropping.

Maybe i start with explaining my problems:

So obviously if T1 tanks arent the counter, let's try it with more arty in the army. That works up to some point but it's no permant solution (i've been told it is if LuXun does it, but hey im not LuXun).

So the next obvious counter is of course air. The sera bomber is pretty good - in therory. In pratical use there is a problem, if the Aeon player sees a bomber coming, he just moves his auroras, causing the auroras to make a Cycle and the bomber to not drop, sure you can try to micro it, but you also have to take care for your arty-mixed army and bomber microing is timeintensive.

So why not go gun? The current mappool has hardly any map where fast gun works well - at least from my experience, i tryed it and failed every single time.


Ok, let's ty T2
I've found out that this is somehow the worst thing you can do. Yeah sure T2 chicken kill the auroras, but how to beat obsidians + shields then? - Yes go T2 air, oh wait then aeon has T2 fighters that are better in airsuperiority + there is T2 on the ground with shields protecting flak and sera bombers that dont drop sometimes.

The next problem is that your hover arty advantage is nearly completely NEGLEGTED which can cause problems in the navy. At this point i want to mention that your only chance then are T2 Gunships because Torpedobombers are worthless.

So this is no "Aeon OP" but a "What the hell shell i do as Sera", i've been ask by a lot of people, but i had to tell them: "Sorry i just dont know, i stopped playing sera in ranked because i dont know".

Would be nice if someone from the top range could explain that to the people below 2000.
