There is a secret unit called the Trollerator that can beat them, but you have to enter a special code to get it and I don't want to give up my advantage.

You just have to predict where mantis will atack (in game that means just spam to the side ftw)

On maps like williamson bridge, crag dunes, finns, ambush, blasted, 2ways maps, as uef you can just spam all tanks and artys to 1 side and move there with acu, and prepare to have a pd with walls on othe side(that will be actually almost on your base, on finns around your base), and try to force a base swap, and if your opponent will do the same you will win cause of artys, if he spam to your side and move acu there too, you have your acu hp advantage, and again as zep said tanks are good...
And as voodoo said you should try to atack... xD
But do not let your tanks die one by one to mantis

If I remember correctly in 10vs10 battle as many as six UEF strikers would survive, please don't post factually incorrect information.

Actually no, mantis will always lose mass for mass -except against auroras if they are too close -.

Walls & PD are your best friend.

Mantis spam is like a swarm of robotic ants. They move fast, build cheap, shoot fast (so long for LaBs), and get to a key location faster. You can't reinforce a location faster than Cybran. It's always an against the ropes battle versus them with another faction.

Go in a sandbox game with cheats.

Race all four t1 tanks.

Yes mantis are faster but nowhere near as fast as people like to make out.

I also struggled with Mantis rushes, see viewtopic.php?f=40&t=2917

After some practice you can build a tank army that can hold them off, but then they use their speed to kill your outlying masspoints and you still lose.
Point Defense turns out to be the magical solution against Mantis for me. I usually go for a strong main force with tanks, and protect my flanks with point defenses. I also like to build a point defense near my hydro or power farm in case a few get through.

Also don't neglect air against Cybran, if you have air superiority your bombers can help a great deal with those Mantis, if you don't get air then you can't deal with those pesky Jester gunships.

Edit: make sure to surround your point defenses with walls, and prepare for artillery when the Cybran notices it.

I'd say, as someone who plays Cybran, that one of the biggest things a lot of people miss is proper intel and scouting. A good formation of tanks, a well-placed point defense, or even your commander can easily hold off a Mantis rush. The key is to know when and where they are coming. Learn to constantly scout your opponent and build radar. That way, you can position your forces to meet the red pew-pew tide head-on, as well as tell if your opponent has brought in arty to deal with your PD.
