Just tested with an empty game.prefs -> switching to the hotbuild preset and then back to default -> build menu is bound and works (b->e=mex)
tested with my own game.prefs as well and it did work there too

maybe you are using a mod that breaks the build menu toggle in one way or the other?

edit: so it's an issue with black ops?
can you make an issue for it on github?

Actually I didnt notice I had blackops on, it worked for engineers and factories fine, as you said, but for the ACU it doesnt work.

So problem solved

When I click on default I get the B=build key again but, none of the building will get their original presets.
F.ex. Mass extractor was E, however under the new system, I cannot just use E for it anymore because E=reclaim. You could have E for both previously but it doesnt work under the new system, only key for one...

the original key bindings (the one you had by default from the retail version) is still the default in FAF
you can get the default bindings by creating a new game.prefs file or in the game in the keybinding menu

you even have a choice between the hotbuild preset and the default preset

What happened to my key binding?
I cleared Cache, Settings, Game files whilst trying to fix my black minimap and somehow now I have this crappy key binding where there is no key binding for "build", etc...
How to repeal and replace this inferior stuff and get back the original key binding?
