So it was. You're right

Thanks. I wasn't aware that its well known. During my search I did not find anything, but maybe I used the wrong keywords. Anyway, I guess I will CTRL-K in that situation in future.

Yes. I have done this before. Sometimes when going for a draw and the enemy ACU is on critically low health. They will switch their ACU to "do not fire" mode - and then try and evade you. Often by walking under water so you can't shoot them. Or blocking your path with units. In these scenarios I have walked into the water after them and deliberately detonated my ACU to get the draw. You do need to make sure that they are below critical health (which I believe is 4000 HP) before detonating.

This topic has been debated many times before. A commonly suggested fix would be to leave NewMaxHealth as unchanged with the veterancy boost. But make NewHealth = (NewMaxHealth - OldMaxHealth)*CurrentHealth/OldMaxHealth... Essentially meaning that as health gets lower and lower, the health boost from veterancy becomes less and less. Thus, when a unit gets veterancy, the max HP increases, but you will see no change on the health bar. Health % does not change.

There is however enough support for the existing mechanics that no such change has been implemented.

In my last game my opponent (Anostra: white) tried a draw (12th minute) and should actually have been successful. But instead of a draw just I died and his com got a veterance for the kill of my com why he survived the explosion.

Never have seen that before and I believe it's discussable if the HP increase because of veterancy or HP decrease because of the explosion should apply at first.

I've attached the replay (UID: 4702188).

Cheers,
