A lovely film set in the Cold War about a prisoner exchange.

It manages to present a set of morals without being too heavy handed. Excellent presentation of dry humour that helps brighten the darker moments without taking away from the overall seriousness of the story. Goals behind all of the players made sense and seemed thought out. No thrown in for the coolness factor.

What else to say without giving anything away? It was a damn good film. Would watch again in a heartbeat.

Saw that movie. Great movie. Slow movie though, but not in a come on hurry it up kinda way. Best part is that it based on real people and real events that happened. Hollywood loves to through up the based on a true story thing but then when you actually try to look stuff about the movie up you find that it either happened way different or it just didn't happen at all. Not Bridge of spies though, based on actual events that happened.

Star Wars The Force Awakens

Not a top 10 or 20 movie for me but JJ Abrams has officially revived the series.

Key points to victory (spoiler-free):

1) Several major characters in the film that are NOT shown in the trailers/previews (nice, given they usually show everything they can in trailers these days)

2) Revival of monsters like the "Sarlac" or "Rancor"

3) Good mix of CGI and animatronics that makes you feel like you are watching the classics

4) No prolonged downtime, plenty of action, quick-paced fun

5) The entire acting cast is PHENOMENAL including the old-timers and every, singel, DAMN, new one

6) No annoying creatures like "Jar Jar Binks"

7) Nothing will ever beat Darth Vader in the "oh shit this guy is evil" category but Kylo Ren is quite awesome, more-so than Darth Maul

8) It's Star Wars

Jar Jar is not the sith lord? You ruined the movie for me.
