I also have trouble with replay watching ("unable to load"). It looks the same as Plasma Wolf.

EDIT: or maybe it's the file association. Sometimes, if i put the replay in my replay folder, and launch it from inside the game, it will work, even though it didn't when I doubled click on it. But sometimes, it just works when i double click on a replay.

Of the replays I tried, I had several of which I know they are of the current version of FA (should be something like 3613?), they all worked.

I also had several of which I know they are older. They all didn't work.

It could have to do with this version (most likely I think), but as I said there are the replays from the vault which do not work but I can't tell if they're of the 3603 version).

That replay didn't work for me either.

I'm having some serious problems with your sample size. "One" replay not loading properly is not the same as all replays not loading properly. Try at least 10 different replays.

I'm going to reply to this one again because of some additional information.

Any replay of myself with the latest FA version does work, including the online ones I can see in the "My replays" tab in FAFNet's replay section.
I went to the simple replay vault online and tried this one. http://faforever.com/faf/replays/69581.zip to see if it worked. It didn't but as it was the latest one in the vault, I thought it would be the one with the current FAF version. I am not sure if that actually is true (I don't see a way of checking it).

Erm, no.

I bought the game on its release. When FAF was up and running, I got over here and now all I need is continuous updating of FAF to keep playing the game. Steam doesn't get involved anywhere in this.

Do you have a Steam version?

Try Menu Options->clear...->Game Files.

If that crashes, send the crash report (I need that so I can fix the problem for the future)

Afterwards you can use Menu BETA->Show Logs and manually delete both the "bin" and "gamedata" folders you see there.

The weird thing is that FA won't update anymore when I try to start a new game. It got an update once but I still have 3610 as version number. I also won't get the message from FAF that it's got an available update.

I had also one message saying that the name of the replay should have at least one character (I suspect it was too long in that case because it had dozens of characters). After I fixed it, it just said "unable to load replay".

FAF replays have a too long name if you try to open them from the extra menu in FA. Try to rename them if you open them from there.
Otherwise, you can update FAF and use the replay tab at the right end of the lobby.
Your FA version seems to be out of date, so this could explain why you can't open new replays.

I'm having a serious problem with replays: I can't load a single one of them. All FA says is "unable to load replay: ".

I tried asking for a log but that didn't have any effect either.

FA version number is 3610.
Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this?

Live replays seem to be no problem though.
