Nothing has changed about how the game is started so the issue is on your end

please read the red text above and post logs i guess
if you want logs to be written while running the game via the exe in programdata then you have to add a command line switch
Code:
" /log game.log"

will write the log in the location of the executable

I tested it right now.
Just a doubleclick on "C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe"

Skirmish and multiplayer menu works as intended.

Maybe something inside the error log ?
