You need to follow armacham01's advice. Disable all mods, try again, then report back.

No point in asking for help if your not going to follow the process.

I don't think that is the problem. I made a new account with Steam, repurchased the game through Steam and downloaded it. The game is a recent download, inside of a month.

If you used to play this game a long time ago, maybe you are using an outdated mod?

Maybe try disabling all of your mods (including UI mods), to see if that fixes it. If it does, you can re-enable the mods one-by-one to see which one breaks things for you.

No. Consistent problem in skirmish or matches. Don't remember having this problem when I played FA years ago.

When I play in-game and try to upgrade a factory to tech 2, it stays tech 1. I have tried to repeatedly upgrade the factories and they never upgrade to tech 2. Any suggestions?
