Well, my AI mod has such a function.
A wreck will vanish after 20 minutes if you don't reclaim it.
But you will see, wrecks are not the main cause of sim slowdowns.
It's more the active unitcount.
Just try to use a low unitcap for all players.
Your PC can handle up to 1800 units without sim speed dropping under 0.
So, when you play against 7 AI's then use a unitcount of 225 for each player.
Or when you play against a single AI, use 875 as unitcap for every player (you and the AI)
If you want to try it: (works only with FAF game version)
