Pings to other people are mostly between 40 - 80 but sometimes go up to 250 but then recover after ~3 seconds.

Let’s say in 2017 you mostly played Seton’s with people who have worse CPUs as you have. The simulation will run at the speed which the WEAKEST CPU can handle. This results in the fast CPUs, which aren’t the bottleneck, basically doing much less than the weak CPU and therefore not having fps or stutter problems.

Either in the last 2 years a reasonable amount players upgraded their CPUs, which results in you becoming the bottleneck, or you simply play larger maps now, with players who have better CPUs most of the time.

2 is pretty much everything else ( i think it is some graphics or whatever, i am not sure)

on strong CPUs people report getting 1 core loaded on 100% by simulation thread and one more core on 10%

since your CPU is not very strong and you have 4 cores it looks completely logical that you get around 50% cpu load

FA is an old game and not optimised for multicore or multithreaded CPU

But not for FA, sorry.png

That sounds like you made some network speed test that does not show you any info at all. What ping are you talking about? did you test game with a player that you had 10 ping with? you should know that concept of ping only makes sence when there are two players/users/computers. you can view ping in game pressing F11, it also shows smaller networkstats windows that brings much more info in top right corner, you should look there for who is "behind", who is loosing packets or just has insane ping. Note that if you see many people spike ping or "behind data", that would mean that problem is likely on your side

I have enabled all ports for my PC, even allowed free Port opening inside my router settings.
When I play my CPU is at 40%-50% and GPU at 30%. Network stability shouldn't be a problem as well. Good ping of 10 when I test it.

Router is the Fritzbox 7590, their latest flagship model.
I use a Amd A8 3870k with 3.3Ghz and a Nvidia GT1030 OC.

About two years ago I started playing FAF and back then, everything was working fine. No problems at all with the same setup, just an older router (Fritzbox 7390)
and since last summer I have this problem.

As a note: I have set the Port to 8162, the Launcher UI shows the standart 6112 and the game uses everytime a random port around 50000 - 60000.

Please I hope somebody can help me.
