There is no "retry", so if you are a wifi connection, it can be the cause too.

Can see the several freezes and then when i got the error message finally the log puts errors in line 355, 380, and 561


*edit* I may have found it -_- When i turned IIS on in my system, it seemed to enabled a separate from the default windows 7 shoddy firewall. Disabled that too. and it seems to be patching now a different patch.

I have no Software firewall and I've long since disabled my router firewall. Did a port test on myself from an outside source ( cell phone ) and it is able to get to my PC on the game ports.

The error stated "failed to receive file from source" once.

*Edit* And yes my cell phone was using it's 3G ip not on the home wifi

That makes me think of two possible issues :

- Your steam installation is not complete, or not set correctly in FAF lobby.
- You never tried to launch FA from steam, so your files are still encrypted (you probably need to use the "check file integrity" option in steam).

Tried to re-install faf.
Re-downloaded .MSI installer
Downloaded the .exe update separately to find it complaining about bugsplash.dll
put .exe in same folder as bugsplash and it launches a non-working game


So what is wrong with this patcher, or what am I missing?
