The client probably stores your stuff in the onedrive folder cause your onedrive setting is making apps store stuff there instead of the local documents folder.

While changing the directory via the init file will work (most likely) you might also want to consider changing that option for onedrive (assuming you don't really want files to be stored on onedrive by default).

You should be able to point the client's data path to another directory. Here's how:

1. Find the 'FA Lobby.ini' file on your drive. It should be one of the user directories (and frankly we should add a client option to show it).

Code:: C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\ForgedAllianceForever

2. Add the following section:

Code:: [client] data_path=

3. Optionally, move all the files from the old folder to the new one.

This should make things work. If it doesn't, post logs.

The Client put them there. i never changed something.

for some reason your mods/maps are all stored in the onedrive folder which is probably the issue here

Code:: c:\users\%Username%\onedrive\dokumente\my games\gas powered games\supreme commander forged alliance\maps\

did you store the files there on your own or did the client put them there?

Hi

Thanks for the very fast answer.
I deleted all mods and now it works on setons.

I will try in a normal game now.
EDIT: I now can play the default maps without problems but not the additional maps.

ok so a few points:

the logs say that the map failed to load, so the game just gives up and boots you into the main menu instead.

1.try disabling all mods, not sure why you might need the scfa campaign branch mod in your games
2.make sure you dont have any scd style mods installed. also just dont install them if youre thinking about it
3.try hosting a game with Seton's Clutch and see if it works. a bunch of your maps are loaded from your onedrive folder so that might be causing some issues. testing with a default map should let us know if its the folder problems

I'd have to ask game devs about this, maybe they have an idea. If I understand correctly, the FA game lobby does launch, but when the game is supposed to start you're just booted into FA main menu?

Deleting gamedata didnt help.
I started the game manually as you suggested and it worked.

Should I try to reinstall FA or FAF? Maybe that would help?

It's hard for me to tell what goes wrong with launching the game - the client log doesn't show anything obviously wrong. You can try going to options -> clear data -> game files - this will clear and redownload any game files in case something went wrong when updating them. If that fails, try running C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe manually - it will help us figure out whether it doesn't launch because of FA or because of the client.

Dear Tech Supporter

First of all, thanks for the awesome Program FAF that keeps this awesome game alive.

I have the issue, that when a game is started by the host, i'm in the main menu of FA instead of starting the multiplayer game (sorry my english is not that great..).

In the lobby seems everything normal.
The game worked for several months and the issue occurs since 2-3 months and it occurs everytime. That means i cant play FA since 2-3 months and therefore i ask for your help.

I post the gamelogs below, if you need more informations let me know.
