Like I said, I already posted about it in my own thread, WITH A LOG. It got no replies until now.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16063

Please read my post before making such sanctimonius comments.

I don't have an "Ä" in ANYTHING.

i found this inside your log:
Code:
2018-03-09 02:47:43,961 INFO     util                           PERSONAL_DIR initial: C:/Users/xc4garen/Documents
2018-03-09 02:47:43,961 ERROR    util                           PERSONAL_DIR not ok, falling back.
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "src\util\__init__.py", line 104, in <module>
UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character '\xc4' in position 9: ordinal not in range(128)

The client can't handle the xC4 code inside your Windows username. ( xC4 = "Ä" )
I suggest you use Downlords client until this is fixed inside the pyton client.

@The_Corinthian:
no log, no response. (please read the red text on top of this page like PhilipJFry already told you)

And if you have the same problem like dassmatte, then you should also have an "Ä" in your username. Right ?

I have this same problem too. I've posted about it but got ZERO response.
no refunds

@OP don't use fullscreen since it tends to bug out at times - use windowed or borderless fullscreen instead

There is at least a way to get out of it though. When you ALT TAB DEL and bring up task manager, use 'alt' and 'tab' to select the task manager again. You then have to blindly navigate the menu. So where you so FAF in the task manager menu (You can only see while you're ALT TABBING), press the down arrow as many times as needed to select FAF. THEN press ENTER to selected FAF, THEN press TAB three times, then press space, this will take you to the 'END TASK' button and space will execute it.

This will get you out of it without having to restart you computer.

But it would be really nice if the Devs could sort this out, about 50% of games I join I have this problem. It's clear a lot of other people have this problem too. But we don't even get replies.

Uploading my log file.

2018-03-09 02:48:18,049 ERROR client._clientwindow Not ready for game launch

That should be the correct timestamp. 7th row from the bottom, I restarted faf when I got the computer running again, to find out where the .log file was.

P.S By manually I mean the button on my physical computer object.

EDIT QUICKFIX: Happened again today, however I had my tv connected as secondary screen so I could click on task manager down in the taskbar on the tv then windowsButton+arrowRight to bring it there and use that screen instead to terminate the program.
