Than I guess there will be no hope for me at the moment and all the other german O2 costumers :-( I already talked yesterday with O2 (what is btw Telefonica which is owner of mediaways I guess) and they said they can't reproduce this error - but they only tried the tracert to faforever.com I guess and as it is also working for me now with the tracert command ... it is obvisously that they can't find an error. so I didn't know what I should tell them furthermore than it does not work. :) And they said, they can't do anything for me because it's not a problem of O2 Germany. Yippie :)

but nevertheless I have found my solution with globalvpn - so ... cu you ingame and maybe somedays it will work again...

Btw... does anyone know a good german proxy server which is free and fast? :) because this should work as well, right? Except it is using mediaways :)

do you have O2 (Telefonica) as provider?

@ze_pilot, i still have exactly the same problems than HadOuken. I found out now, that all my firewall settings, router settings, anti virus settings ect. are fine (really! :) ). Also the tracert to faforever.com works fine every time I try it (different to last week, where I had the same probs like colonolshepherd, where my trace ended after third station)...

So ... at the moment each 10th or 20th try to connect to any game or creating a game works now for me, but often it takes so long, that the games I'm going to join are already full or started :) ... so its not very comfortable...

What I can see in my router protocol, that there is a "message" like this: "firewall session time out, sent tcp rst: tcp 91.229.20.50"

I was hoping that one of you guys can help me with this error? I tried to increase the number of maximum tcp sessions and so on to maximum values and I also disabled my firewall of my router and the firewall of my windows ... but nothing works.

So due to it's working if I'm using a client like GlobalVPN where I get another IP adress and route over sweden/netherlands/usa the lobby works very fine for me! Yeah, but this costs 6€ per month - and I would donate this 6 € for the next 3 months to you ze_pilot rather than spend this money for a globalvpn account that I mostly don't use...

So what I'm trying to say is ... ze_pilot you are most probably right, this is something related to the route! But why I can't see this mistake if I use tracert in the console...? Does the FAF lobby rejects a connection trial directly if one tries to connect to a game and have for a milli second no connection to the server? Can it maybe be fixed by telling the lobby it should wait some seconds for the connection? I don't know how it works - sorry - if its stupid :) but I can not see, why I can open the lobby sometimes, and everything is working and updating (map vault, find games, replays) but I can not connect to a game? Or is it because the FAF lobby uses the normal www port 80 for map vault, replays and so on and for starting the game it uses port 6112 and this port is maybe firewalled by a router on my route the server?!?

I know, it is annoying with me :) but I like this game, I like the lobby, I like the people I have defeated :D and I don't like it if something don't work as it should :)

Now after i waited a few minutes, the lobby was fine to use. But when i clicked on a game, the "Connecting to Updateserver" Window appeared. Nothing happens...

After another try, it says "Version mismatch".

The chat is using a IRC server. Try connecting to it with any other way (like www.mibbit.com). Infos in the wiki (links menu).
