Well, we still can try 2 things.

Please make a desktop-shortcut from the file:
Code:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe

Then open the shortcut (rightklick->properties) and edit the commandline.
Add "/nosound" at the end. Should looke like this:
Code:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe /nosound

Start the game with the shortcut; Lets see, if the sound is the problem.

Last thing, because direct x is crashing. Please reinstall DirectX 9c:

If this don't help, i have no idea :/

Here's the new game.log that it generated, but I think it's the same error. I double checked to make sure that it is the new log too.

Lets check the FAF installation first.

Please delete everything inside this folder:
Code:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\gamedata\

Start the FA-Forever client, and klick on "play" at the bottom of the window.
(make sure that the client is saving gamelogs - Options->Settings->Save game logs)

Now you can choose on the left side all available game modes.
Klick on "FAF" and start (host) a game.

Inside the game, set one AI as opponent and start the game session.

Does the game crash now ?

If yes, please post the game.log from C:\ProgramData\FAForever\logs\

I launch my game through steam for vanilla, but through FAF Client when I tried to use FAF. I have also tried multiplayer with a friend, and even that caused my game to crash.

if i try to start the vanilla game from the FAF-client, i can't play skirmish or campaign. I only can play multiplayer.

How do you start your game ? FAF-lobby ? Desktop-shortcut ?

It never posts the first line with an error code when it crashes for me though. I deleted the game.prefs file and restarted the game and it still crashed once I tried to start any match.

I did try using the vanilla version of the game, yes.

I go to campaign and try to start a mission, it goes to the "In Transit" screen, but after a couple seconds the game freezes and gives me a crash report.

thanks for posting your logs.

If you post a " Supreme Commander FA Crash Log.txt", please don't forget the upper lines in the log.

Your log starts at:
Code:
.\DeviceD3D9.cpp(1152) Invalid call

Program : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\bin\SupremeCommander.exe
Cmd line arguments :

Callstack:
   Unknown symbol (address 0x007fbdc4)
   Unknown symbol (address 0x00d906a7)
   Unknown symbol (address 0x0091c6fb)
   Unknown symbol (address 0xfffffa73)

Last 100 lines of log...

But the fist line with the error code is missing.

Should look like this:
Code:
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at address 0x0095854f
attempted to write memory at 0x03db0000

Program : C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe
Cmd line arguments : /mean 1500.0 /deviation 500.0 /country AU /init init_nomads.lua /numgames 0 /log C:\ProgramData\FAForever\logs\game.log /nobugreport /savereplay gpgnet://localhost/6559106/kiefy.SCFAreplay /gpgnet 127.0.0.1:60872

Callstack:
Unknown symbol (address 0x0095854f)

Last 100 lines of log...

The first line is the error with memory address (red):

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at address 0x0095854f

If you get this error again, please post the memory address.

***

To fix the error, you could first try to delete your game.prefs file.

Delete the file (make a copy):
Code:
"C:\Users\_YourName_\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Game.prefs"

Also tell us, how you start a game. I can see inside the log, you tryed to play the vanilla version of the game, right ?
