Explosions look horrible from side

Hello all, so I have been looking at making some awesome looking screenshots lately, but have discovered what I believe must be a glitch in the game. whenever there is an explosion on the map, if viewed from the side from afar it starts just making blooming white squares layered on top of each other. this makes explosions look horrible from a screenshot / movie point of view and I was hoping I could get some support, my settings are on mostly medium settings, but when I attempted to put everything to high it was the same, also turning bloom on or off and turning 'render sky' off does not help either.
