im pretty sure those 2 mods dont causing it, because the first time we played over FAF we used those 2 without any trouble. the trouble begun after i installed that exmex.

tbh i always used both of em, so....want to continue that way.
those 2 mods come with the game itself.
the directory u mentioned is empty, same goes for the SC-FA directory.
ill try the "nothing but time" mod from fault...will report afterwards...

i tried it and a player could join the game lobby so far.
ill test it probably tomorrow with my friends and report it, thank u very much for the hint

it worked just fine. i didnt think at the possibility that there might be differences between singleplayer mods and multiplayer mods. thanx again. case closed.

You sure it isn't one of those two other mods causing this? Also why do you need both, doesn't nothing but time provide basically infinite resources, why use resource rich then?

I checked and those two mods you are trying to use might not be in the mod vault, which in turn causes them to be unknown mods. Clear the "Username\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods\" folder and download the mods from the mod vault in the FAF client.

problem w/o (exmex) mod

hi

i need help. i would like to play with just a few friends. first time we tried it worked just fine. then i had the not so good idea to try this exmex mod...worked fine too when i played alone vs AI. problems started when we wanted to play via FAF again. as soon as we select a mod (doesnt matter which one, no UI mods anyway) no1 can connect to the game. everyone gets an error message. first it were a message about a mod not properly installed, then something about "sim mod" (unfortunately we didnt any screenshots), now we get another message (see screenshots).

We tried to remove the mod but the error did stay.
when we start a game without any mods it works, but we want to play with "ressource rich" and "nothing but time" (or what their name is) mods.
today i uninstalled sc-fa including any related files i could find, even searched in the registry. afterwards i installed the game and faf again, but we get still the same error.
we tried to install exmex v3 again in hope it would work afterwards, but unfortunately it didnt.
