I dont know in which country you are located, but here in germany the providers disconnect all users from the internet once a day to prevent ppl from using their home internet connection for webserver purposes (and other reasons). Usually this disconnect happens in the middle of the night. The router usually disconnects itself to prevent a forced disconnect, however it is supposed to do that when no traffic is used. You can set the time the router initiates the disconnect in the settings there. Just put it to some later time (i.e. 4am or so).
Thanks for the info. I couldn't find any option to set a time for the disconnect in my router, so maybe it's not the same case here, but I still set the inner clock of the router 4 hours earlier so if the router is what indeed is causing this problem, it will at least happen later. If the issue is with my internet provider, I think I may have to call them.Statistics: Posted by angus000 — 22 May 2016, 20:56
