just choose a diferent nick.. amd then type

/msg nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL

If i try to enter the server the NickServ asks after a password. but the password i am using for faforever is not working. What password should i use for the irc channel of faforever.com

get in #aeolus irc channel in faforever.com irc server, you can use https://client00.chat.mibbit.com/ or an irc client
send me a msg, I am RoadRunner, I will require to remote connect your machine...

I did everything. i cleaned the tmp folder with ccleaner and looked with the program everything after every possible piece of the old version. but nothing if i want to install the new version it says it cannot remove the old version. i looked after faforever, faf, forever on my harddisk and deleted every data i found.

it is what I told above, you have old files...

Code:: Error 1714. The older version of Forged Alliance Forever cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group. System Error 1612..

you need to clean TMP folder, and also , completely delete all files from previsous version...
CClenar has option to clear temporary files, also windows has that option on the system cleaner

I didnt work. And maybe i had should said that first, but i cant deinstall the old Forged Alliance Forever Program. if i try it i generates the same problem

well, please follow this clean up tutorial :

please re donwload the faf.msi, check if its the correct one by checking md5 , its in the clean up tutorial

then, try again, if it fails again, then do this :

open "cmd.exe" (command prompt) as administrator

go to the download folder where faf.msi file is, with :
after that use the following commands :

Code:: cd %USERPROFILE%

- to change to your user folder

Code:: cd downloads

- to go to your download folder

then type

Code:: msiexec /i FAF.msi /Lime msilog.txt

- to get a log from the instaler

then attach the msilog.txt to this post, using the Upload attachment below

I assume problem is in TMP folder, but, well do this then it will generate a log

Same Problem. Only that the installation package he is locking for, is in my case tmpicalmn.msi
